Musica Neurochirurgiana
The orchestra by members of the Japan Neurosurgical Society
Musica Neurochirurgiana is a unique orchestra consisting of members of the Japan Neurosurgical Society, founded in 1987 at the time of the 46th annual meeting of the Japan Neurosurgical Society hosted by Prof. Kintomo Takakura. Conducted by Masaaki Hayakawa since 1999, and Hiroyuki Fujimoto since 2015, performance has been continued to provide a program of cultural enrichment during annual meetings of the Japan Neurosurgical Society, the Japanese Congress of Neurological Surgeons, or other domestic and international meetings. This orchestra is widely renowned in medical societies since this is the first orchestra consisted of society members among the medical societies worldwide. 95 neurosurgeons are registered as active members.
